I grew up on the Central Coast of California, a little south of Big Sur, and moved to Southern California at 19 to attend Art Center College of Design’s Environmental Design program. After 8 years in Los Angeles working as a multi-disciplinary designer I found myself growing more fascinated with tattooing and returned to the Central Coast to apprentice. After finishing this education and working as a tattoo artist in San Luis Obispo for 4 years, my desire to return to a city, along with my long fascination with Seattle, saw me sell all but would fit in my car and head up the coast in 2018.

After parting ways with a tattoo studio I helped open in Lower Queen Anne, I decided to take the leap and open my own—-with the dream of creating the kind of atmosphere I believe a modern tattoo studio should have. This vision being a sophisticated but inclusive space, managed as a collective, with artists who care about clients experience as well as their work.

I tend to gravitate and focus on traditional work with a folky twist, although as you can see here I won’t shy away from other styles if I’m confident I can do it well. It is always my intention to leave my clients with a timeless piece they’ll forever enjoy (requests for realism or water-color will politely be declined).

As a designer, and in reverse chronological order, I have worked as an Art Director for 2 alt-weeklies, Junior Designer for the Natural History of Museum of Los Angeles County, Lead Designer for boutique real estate developer Lab Holding LLC, spent some time as a Lead Designer at a sign shop, and interned at Commune, a top-tier interior and branding studio, as well as Materials & Applications, an interactive-architecture installation-arts group. I hold a B.S. with honors in Environmental Design from Art Center College of Design.
